Ongoing Support

The benefits of ongoing support for people living in residential aged-care

Moving into residential aged care can be a challenging time not only for the person who has just made the move but for family members and friends. After all, it’s a major transition.

While moving into residential aged care can alleviate much of the stress associated with getting older, you or your loved one may still need ongoing assistance with:

  • Managing Centrelink or the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) updates
  • Handling and/or managing complaints
  • Attending resident meetings
  • Attending appointments with medical and allied health professionals
  • Setting up computer, tablet or telephone access
  • Shopping.

We understand that you’re busy and face competing pressures

One of the realities of modern life is that we are all busy.

A lot of people find themselves juggling multiple demands on their time – a young family, work pressures and ageing parents.
If you are someone who is not only working but also has extensive family commitments, you may need help from an accredited aged-care professional who can provide ongoing support and assistance for someone you care about who is living in aged care.

Alternatively, you may be living interstate or overseas, which means that you need someone you can trust to keep an eye on your loved and provide the assistance that you would provide if you weren’t living so far away.
